The Sea Ranch Resort

The room was a bit sticky and humid, and we had to have maintenance unclog the drain immediately upon arrival. This was done quickly. The lock to the outdoor access door didn’t work, so despite allowing easy access to the parking lot, you still had to go through the main entrance and halls to securely access the room.

We visited for a 3 day getaway and couldn't be more pleased.... the view and proximity to the ocean was wonderful and for just us 2 the room was very spacious. I would totally recommend if you're main necessity is the location, view, space and cleanliness

Every year, my mom and I visit OBX, and every year we stay at the Sea Ranch Resort. The rooms can seem a bit old, if that's a dealbreaker for you, but they're clean and perfectly fine for us. Right on the beach, and the friendliest staff! This year we were helped by Thomas, who was friendly and knowledgeable; when I got hurt (elsewhere, *not* at the resort), and the first medical center we tried was closed, Thomas reccomended a hospital for my mom to take to (which was great) and gave her directions and everything. Multiple staff members offered me help when I came back. We also get breakfast on our last morning every year at the hotel restaurant, and the same gentleman has helped us this year as well as last year, and he's also very friendly. My mom and I continue to plan for the Sea Ranch Resort for future trips.

I mean I wasn't disappointed. Staff was super, right location and good restaurant on site. Just understand you are paying for location. Only real disappointment was not understanding you had to ask for room cleaning 24 hours in advance. I understand though that many people just stay for the weekend. Right on the beach was worth it all day and right in the middle of OBX. We did have a whistle sound from the patio door, but we also had 25 to 40 mph winds, so there's that. We actually slept most nights with the door open.

I came here with my husband and everything was great the food was amazing so was the view. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and helpful, however I went to the desk during the evening to get some more towels and the man at the desk was very rude. I felt like he was shooing me off and didn’t want to help me whatsoever. I was asking him about the restaurant hours and he told me he had more important things to deal with. He was not nice whatsoever and very pushy.

Booked through Expedia and got there on the Saturday before Labor Day to find out that Expedia switched my dates to the next day through an extra day at the end. There were 3 rooms by 9:00pm that nobody had checked it too, but they didn't want to give up their rooms. I don't know, maybe that was honorable, but we ended sleeping in our Tacoma for the night in their parking lot. Otherwise, the hotel was fine for the rest of the stay. The restaurant in the hotel was not great food and service looked like there were only 2 people working there.

Love this place! The staff are friendly and helpful to a person. Safe, Clean, Affordable. Amazing location - right on the beach! The rooms are a little out of date - I believe they are working on bringing them up. That said, the linens were nice and the beds were comfortable. Can't beat the location. We will be back.

The two bedroom suite was perfect for our family of five for our vacation to the outer banks. It came furnished with just about everything we needed. It was literally steps from the beach. We used the gym and spent hours in the pool. Close to shops and restaurants.
